Explain the following terms in your own words:

The Internet:

It is a place where we share information. It is a connection of all items that can have internet.

HTML:

A universal language that is used to give information with the internet through a browser.

Browser:

We need a browser to view HTML format. It is an application that has been created to show contents from the internet. F.ex. Google Chrome is a browser.

Search engine:

Is used to search and find keywords in HTML documents and give you the results of the keyword/keywords you are searching for in a mix of websites, pictures and other files.

The ten questions from briefing process in Lesson task:

  1. What kind of visitors are you expecting on your website?
  2. Who are your competitors and how do you differ from them?
  3. What actions do you want visitors to take on the site?
  4. What is your deadline for completing the site? How big is the budget?
  5. What features should be used on your website? (This includes things like contact forms, pictures, videos, etc.)
  6. Please list the names of three sites that you like and explain what you like about them.
  7. Do you have any colour preferences? What should the look and feel for the website be?
  8. Who will be the contact person for this project?
  9. What do you NOT want on your site in terms of text, content, colour and graphic elements?
  10. Who will be responsible for maintaining the website? Will the person have the time and skills to do so?

  3. Are you building something new or redesigning something that exist?
  4. What is the vision for the site?
  5. What is all the relevant technical requirements specifications you need for the site?
  6. What are the expectations for this project?
  7. What are the dealbreakers?
  8. What do your staff and users want from the website?
  9. How do you want the structure?
  10. Is there any functionality you want on the site?

    The ultimate list of ten questions I would use in a briefing process:

What makes the websites good:

Clearly know who the clients are, the website navigation is clear and easy to use an all devices, good colour and typography.
