Lesson Task – Put Thought Into Your Design

Design a 5-page website or blog to promote your hometown (or any other place if you so choose). Present your design along with a strategy that explains the decisions you’ve made during the design process.

This is a front-end design lesson task. No coding or publishing is needed.

I decided to make a website promoting my hometown, Moss.

1.You need to establish goals.

My goal is to get people interested in Moss and get them to want to travel or visit the place. I want them to navigate easy through the website to find all the information they need and also keep them updated on the latest events.

2.Who is your audience?

My audience is between 20-90. It is a vide age group, but the website is for promoting to people traveling, tourists or those who need information about what to do, where to eat or sleep when you are visiting Moss. It is also a little bit of history on the website, for those who are interested in that.

3.What is your brands image?

The brand’s image is showing the beautiful nature, by the sea and the sacred forest and also the city life with the latest happenings and the cool places to eat and drink. It shows that you can get the nature and city life in one little place.

4.Solve the problem

The problem is to showcase all the information out to the visitors. The website needs to attract the people to want to stay there, since Moss is often a town «you just drive by» and not notice since it is by the highway.

5.Measure your results

Include an analyse to see if the website is achieving the set obectives.

6.Always look for little improvements

Monitor the analysis to see what is working and what is not working when it is launched.
